Polestar: The way electric cars should be
Polestar is a Swedish automaker and part of the Volvo-Geely partnership. Since the 1990s, they’ve been well-known for producing high-performance combustion engines with Volvo. It is a creation of Volvo, and they were set up as Volvo’s racing team. Over the years, they’ve developed into a successful brand, and the Volvo-Polestar relationship is similar to the Toyota-Lexus relationship.
Polestar has set an ambitious goal for its future: to produce a climate-neutral car by 2030. Their aim is to create a vehicle that has a zero carbon footprint when it leaves the factory. Additionally, they are researching ways to improve the sustainability of electric car batteries through repair, refurbishment, and repurposing. To promote an ethical and transparent supply chain, they are also utilizing blockchain technology to trace risk minerals and ensure responsible sourcing.
