The BYD Dolphin has become the most affordable electric vehicle (EV) after MG’s new electric model MG4 in Australia. BYD’s Blade battery technology powers this electric hatchback. The car’s Dynamic version has a 340 km WLTP driving range powered by a 44.9 kWh battery pack & Premium Version has a WLTP driving range of 427 km with a 60.48 kWh battery. Furthermore, the vehicle can be fast-charged at speeds of up to 70 kW.
It is propelled by a higher output motor which produces 130 kW of power and 290 Nm of torque, allowing its Dolphin Premium version to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds. The BYD Dolphin has several advanced safety and technology features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and a 360-degree camera system. The car also has a sophisticated parking assist system, which uses sensors and cameras to guide the vehicle into a parking space with minimal driver input.
