Ford EV Australia

 The American excellence

Ford is one of the automobile brands committed to electrifying most of its fleet during the 2020s, and Australians can expect at least five electrified Ford vehicles before the end of 2024. Ford has entered the Australian EV market with their E-Transit van. The E-Transit vehicle offers both AC charging and DC fast-charging options. With the onboard 11.3kW charger, the E-Transit can charge from 0 to 100 per cent in approximately 8 hours. Alternatively, using a 115kW high-power DC fast charger, the E-Transit can quickly charge from 15 to 80 per cent in around 34 minutes.

Frequently asked question

Ford, Kia, Audi e Tron and Tesla are some of the best Australian electric cars that have gained overwhelming popularity. While Tesla has been the leader in electric vehicles, Ford is making a strong push to become a leader in the Australian EV industry. Ford has recently launched the best-in-class SUV Mustang Mach-E in Australia, and it has been met with a lot of excitement from the public.
With its commitment to sustainability, impressive new models, and competitive pricing, Ford could be a strong contender in the upcoming years.

The Ford Mustang Electric has an edge when it comes to joyful ride and handling. It’s equipped with a stiffer suspension and a better-tuned steering system, which provide for a smooth and responsive driving experience. The braking of the Electric Mustang Mach E is also superb – it stops instantly even when you’re pushing it hard. No doubt, Tesla Model Y reigns supreme outright performance but Mustang also picks up acceleration instantly and has no problem reaching high speeds. Although Ford offers less range (418km) than Tesla (480km) but competing with performance and affordability, Ford has the potential to kill off Tesla.

It depends on the model, make of the EV and battery size. Mustang EV or any other Electric car needs a dedicated charger that delivers AC or DC power to the vehicle’s onboard charging system that supplies the correct voltage and current required to charge the battery.
Basic or Level 1 chargers are the slowest and plug into a standard 230V outlet, and can charge an electric vehicle overnight. Level 2 chargers are faster and can charge an electric vehicle in about 4-6 hours. Level 3 or DC fast chargers are the fastest and can charge an electric vehicle in about 30 minutes.

The Ford F-150 Lightning has been one of the most talked about electric vehicles in recent years, and with good reason. Not only is it incredibly powerful, but it also has the latest technologies and features that make it a great choice for those who want to make the switch to electric power.
Ford EV Australia does not come with the ability to charge at Tesla Supercharger as Tesla’s Supercharger system has its own proprietary plug, which is not compatible with the standard J1772 adapter used by most other electric vehicles.

The answer is No: it depends on the specific model. The most common charging system is Type 2 AC charging, this type of charger is used by most all-electric vehicles, including the Nissan Leaf, Kia Soul EV, and Chevrolet Bolt. Ford EV Australia and other electric vehicles are equipped with different types of charging technology. There are a few EVs with DC fast charging support like the BMW i3 and MG ZS EV that use a Type 2 and also support a CCS charger for fast DC charging. Tesla also offers its own proprietary Supercharger, which is used exclusively for its vehicles.

I recently purchased a charging cable from this seller and was very impressed with their customer service. However, I encountered an issue with the charger a few days after receiving it. I contacted customer support and they responded quickly and professionally. They asked for some information about the issue and within a day, they had identified the problem and offered a solution. They even went the extra mile to help me troubleshoot the issue and make sure that everything was working properly. The cable works great now and I’m very happy with my purchase.
