BYD ATTO 3 Standard

The newest auto manufacturer BYD to emerge in Australia is on a mission to make electric vehicles more affordable.  The Atto 3 Standard Range is a mid-sized electric SUV that early adopters predict will be the next big thing. Taking a left-hand drive prototype for a short suburban drive reveals that the Atto 3 has the potential to garner a significant fanbase. The exterior of the Atto 3 showcases a gently sloping roofline, small LED headlights, and aerodynamic wheels, all in line with BYD’s Dragon Face 3.0 design language.

Despite being a front-wheel-drive EV with comparable power outputs, the 150kW/310Nm electric motor feels quick, with a 0-100 km/h time of 7.3 seconds. With its Type 2 charging port, the Atto3 is compatible with all EVPowerhouse chargers and cables created for residential use. Also, the BYD Atto 3 offers rapid charging through its CCS 2 DC Charging port, with a rate of up to 88 kW. This means you’ll be back on the road in just 40-45 minutes.

BYD ATTO 3 Standard Charging Speed

The BYD Atto 3 Standard has a battery power limit of 7KW. This means that if you use a 22KW  charge point, it can only supply 7KW due to the onboard limit. On the other hand, if you charge using a 7.4KW charger, the charge point would limit the charge and only supply 7KW.

The table below provides charging time and rates for batteries from 0% to 100%. We also provide charging time and rates for custom levels of batteries.

Note: EV battery size impacts charging time. Larger batteries take longer to charge due to higher capacity, but offer longer distances between charges, potentially shortening total charge time. Keeping the battery between 20% and 80% is advised for faster charging. Also, the (†) On-board charging limits as well as the charge point power limit greatly defines charging times. Low temperatures and fast chargers may slightly increase charging duration, but less relevant in mild climates.
