The KIA Niro is an exquisite electronic or Plug-in Hybrid crossover SUV that gives you the best of both worlds; it has the option of a Petrol Engine and an Electric Engine. It comes in two different variants: the S and the Sport; both consist of the same engine power of 1580 CC. The maximum power they can offer is 77.2kW @ 5,700 rpm, whereas the torque is 147Nm @ 4,000 rpm, which is ideal for an electric SUV.
Range and Battery Pack: Considering the battery, both models have a Lithium-ion Polymer battery under the boot panel and the rear seat. The battery weighs about 117kg and is 360 Volts, capacity of 24.7 Ah and an energy of 8.9 kW. All these specs predict a good battery performance since the capacity and energy stored is enough for good performance for 2 hours and 15 minutes roundabout. The OBC or the On-Board Charger can give an AC single phase charging up to 3.3kW.
