Ford E-Transit Van is more agile than a 2.0-litre diesel because of its independent rear suspension, which should keep it safe whether empty or full. All models use the same engine, a 266-horsepower, 317-pound-foot electric motor positioned at the back of the vehicle.
Battery & range: A 68 kWh battery pack powers a single-speed gearbox and an RWD electric motor for a range of 202 KMs on the low-roof cargo van model of the vehicle. Not a lot of options to pick from when it comes to the E-Transit battery. The E-Transit is a rear-wheel drive vehicle; hence the motor and control units are located behind the back axle and under the nose, giving it a low centre of gravity. Fast charging is also available in AC and DC, with DC Charging up to 115kW and recharging the battery from 15% to 80% in around 34 minutes.
