A future of green mobility
In 1972, Nissan established its headquarters in Australia and manufactured cars for two decades. Recently, the Dandenong South Casting Plant in Victoria won exclusive manufacturing contracts with Nissan Japan to produce castings for the new Nissan LEAF, the first mass-market zero tailpipe emission all-electric car. This will result in future profits and secure jobs for many years.
The Nissan LEAF with vehicle-to-home tech has a 39kWh battery that can power a home for 2-3 days. It’s useful during blackouts and can reduce energy consumption from the grid. EV owners can lower their home power bills by charging the battery with solar power or during off-peak periods.

The 2023 Nissan Leaf is the least-cost new EV on the market with a starting MSRP $50,990 in Australia
No, Tesla Superchargers are not compatible with the Nissan Leaf. Tesla Superchargers employ the Tesla-exclusive charging standard, whereas the Nissan Leaf uses the CHAdeMO fast charging standard. Nissan Leaf customers in Australia have access to a vast network of public charging stations, including fast-charging stations from businesses like Chargefox, Evie Networks, and Tritium, among others.
Regarding actual performance, many Nissan Leaf owners claim that their batteries last for well over 100,000 miles or more than 160,000 kilometres, and some even claim that their batteries have lasted for more than 150,000 miles or more than 240,000 kilometres. So, to convert that number to human age it will be around 8 to 10 years.
Around 235 KM, it can easily handle daily commutes and trips around town.
Until December 2020, the Leaf was available in 59 global markets. It held the title of the world’s top-selling electric car between 2011 and 2014, as well as in 2016. By December 2019, the Leaf was recognized as the highest-selling plug-in electric car ever.

I recently purchased a charging cable from this seller and was very impressed with their customer service. However, I encountered an issue with the charger a few days after receiving it. I contacted customer support and they responded quickly and professionally. They asked for some information about the issue and within a day, they had identified the problem and offered a solution. They even went the extra mile to help me troubleshoot the issue and make sure that everything was working properly. The cable works great now and I’m very happy with my purchase.
