When charging an EV it has been found that colder external temperatures make the charging process slightly longer, as electricity flow is reduced. This consequence is more apparent through the use of Rapid chargers. However due to the generally warm Australian climate this isn’t an issue we are greatly affected by.
TCL (Trickle Charge Lead): These leads are primarily supplied with the vehicle at the time of sale. They are mainly used in PHEV Hybrid (Electric/Petrol) run vehicles and are not designed nor are they capable of fully charging the battery overnight.
